The James Store does not yet sell Crocs, but I guarantee you, we are trying. In the meantime, here is a great background article from Business 2.0/CNN Money describing the surging growth of this company. Highlights are:
- Crocs IPO in February was the richest in footwear history.
- In 2003, Crocs grossed $1 million in revenue– they project $322 million in 2007.
- Three pals from Boulder, Colorado went sailing in the Caribbean and a foam clog one had bought in Canada inspired them to build a business around it.
- Crocs were first sold to sailing enthusiasts but soon gained a word-of-mouth following among doctors, gardeners, waiters, and other people who have to be on their feet all day.

J. Suzette & Company, Inc., a manufacturer of women’s apparel, has located their corporate office to Allen Station Business Park in Allen, Texas in 2004. John and Suzette Villareal, the husband and wife team of J. Suzette, founded the company while they were in college.
Today, J. Suzette designs clothing for some of the country’s best apparel catalogs, department stores and specialty boutiques, like the James Store in Granville, Ohio. Two special lines have been created for specialty store boutiques. The first label is called SUZETTE and appeals to the updated missy customer who loves newness. The second label named after their two daughters, ALEXIS & AVERY, is designed for the customer who prefers novelty jackets and is an easy fit. All manufacturing is done either locally or in their Canadian plant.
“J. Suzette’s Allen headquarters designs the latest clothing line for today’s fashion world and provide a dynamic diversity to Allen’s existing industry base,” according to Charisse Canfield, Executive Director, Allen Economic Development Corporation.
The company occupies approximately 20,000 square feet in Allen Station Business Park, developed by the Trammell Crow Company for ING Clarion Partners. When complete (as of 2004,) the master-planned park will offer 1.4 million square feet of office/tech space in 14 buildings. “This is a great customer for Allen Station,” according to Dave Noble, Senior Vice-President – Development, Trammell Crow Company, “Their office finish-out is first-class and complements the western-themed buildings. Approximately 11,000 square feet is dedicated to warehouse use, filled floor-to-ceiling with bolts of fabric and finished goods.”

Milwaukee-based Florence Eiseman has been designing and selling children’s clothing for over 50 years. The James Store offers Florence Eiseman clothing at its store in Granville, Ohio. Soon you you will also be able to purchase Florence Eiseman online.

On April 21st (2007), the James Store is hosting its semi-annual Geiger trunk show at our store in Granville, Ohio. However, after thinking about it a little more, we realized, “maybe not everyone knows what a trunk show is.”
Here are a few trunk show definitions that Google provides & this is a great article that describes why brands like them. Here is another well written article from Wisegeek. And then, of course, this explanation couldn’t be complete without the Wikipedia entry on trunk shows.
In our case, a trunk show is an event where an apparel vendor (in this case Geiger of Austria) comes directly to the James Store to sell its merchandise. Customers ordering at this show not only receive access to a wide selection of merchandise– more than is typically available at the store– but also receive a nice discount off the retail price.
If you have any questions, please give us a call and we can give you more details.
You can also purchase Geiger clothing online in our online store.

This article from Fashion Tribe describes the way that FDJ jeans have been developed to create a slimming fit for women of all body types.
Here’s an excerpt:
“While some jeans tackle only a single problem area, FDJ French Dressing can provide slimming options for the stomach, thigh & booty area. Inside front pockets are angled in a way to flatten the tummy up to 1″, while back pockets are placed slightly high to give an additional “lift” for that fab rounded look we all want. “The FDJ French Dressing jean’s unique blend of different fits and rises, along with its tummy slimming and butt-lifting construction, will show off a woman’s silhouette to her best advantage with unparalleled comfort all day long,” notes Donald Johannesson of FDJ French Dressing.”
You can purchase FDJ jeans online at the James Store.
